Mr & Mrs Stefani came to me with very specific requirements for their website, they had previously used WIX for their website but it no longer met their needs as their business had grown, they’d always managed their own website in the past, but now they needed help with something more functional that required a website developer to assist.
Website Development Requirements
Because Stefani’s Pizzeria prides themselves on offering freshly made, authentic Italian pizza, it was really important to them that they kept the high standards of their food that they had come to be so popular for.
- Delivery Radius > The family run restaurant required a distance matrix implementing so that when customers ordered outside of the delivery radius they were automatically offered collection as opposed to delivery to ensure that their driver wasn’t stretched too far causing delivery times to be lengthy for the customer.
- Delivery Time Slots > In addition to the delivery radius it was important for the restaurant to be able to restricted how many orders per hour they could accept without the quality falling above their high standards, a delivery system was implemented to the website to ensure the restaurant had full control of when orders could be taken. With this came the option for the customer to choose their time slot from the list provided.
- Close for Delivery & Collection > Stefani’s Pizzeria is first and foremost Blackpool’s favourite dine in restaurant and during the busier periods they restaurant team needed the option to be able to turn the ordering online function off quickly so that the team didn’t get overwhelmed with orders, along with being able to close the website on holidays that they were not open for without taking the entirety of the website down.
